MANUAL RELEARN
Audi A4 / S4, Late 8E B7 (2009) & 8K B8 (2009-2011)
2011 can be a split-production year depending on market and build. Some vehicles use direct TPMS,
while others may be indirect. Always verify before ordering sensors or attempting programming.
- Activate sensors with a TPMS tool if fitted with direct TPMS
- Turn ignition ON
- Press CAR and go to Tire Pressure Monitoring
- Select Store Current Tire Pressures
- Drive the vehicle for up to 20 minutes
INDIRECT RELEARN PROCEDURE
Audi A4 / S4, 8K B8 Late Models (2011-2016)
Indirect TPMS system — there are no physical sensors in the tyre on these vehicles.
- Adjust all tyre pressures to the placard value
- Apply the parking brake
- Turn ignition ON
- Select CAR
- Go to Servicing and Checks
- Select Tire Pressure Monitoring
- Store or confirm the current pressure setting
- Drive the vehicle so the system can recalibrate automatically
NEWER MODELS — B9 / B9.5 RELEARN
Audi A4 / S4, 8W B9 & B9.5 (2017-2025)
Most later A4 / S4 models use the MMI menu to store tyre pressure values. Many of these are indirect
systems, so there are usually no programmable sensors inside the wheel unless the vehicle is equipped
with a direct system for that market or build.
- Set all tyres to the correct placard pressure
- Turn ignition ON
- Open the MMI and select Vehicle
- Go to Settings & Service
- Select Tire Pressure Monitoring
- Select Store Tire Pressure
- Confirm the current tyre pressures
- Drive the vehicle so the system can complete calibration
FACELIFT MODELS
Audi A4 / S4 B9.5 Facelift (2020-2025)
On facelift vehicles, the menu wording may vary slightly depending on software version,
but the process is generally through the Vehicle menu and tyre pressure storage screen.
- Inflate all tyres to specification
- Switch ignition ON
- Select Vehicle from the main screen
- Swipe to the secondary Vehicle menu if required
- Select Settings & Service
- Select Tire Pressure Monitoring
- Select Store Tire Pressure
- Confirm and drive normally
IMPORTANT NOTE
Before Starting the Audi TPMS Relearn
Some Audi vehicles use a direct TPMS system with physical sensors inside the wheel, while others use
an indirect TPMS system that does not use tyre pressure sensors.
For split-production years and newer imported vehicles, it is important to confirm which system the
vehicle uses before ordering sensors or attempting programming.
If your Audi uses a direct TPMS system, the sensors must be activated first with a suitable TPMS tool
before completing the relearn procedure.
