Holden TPMS Guide

HOLDEN TPMS RESET & RELEARN GUIDE

If you have replaced a wheel, tyre, or TPMS sensor and the tyre pressure warning light stays on, the system may need to be reset or relearned. This guide is based on the Holden Caprice (WM) reset procedure and rewritten into a cleaner, more professional step-by-step format.

Caprice WM Procedure

This page is based on the Holden Caprice (WM) TPMS reset method using the remote key and tyre pressure trigger sequence.

Before You Start

Park the vehicle safely, switch the engine off, engage the parking brake, and return all tyres to placard pressure after relearn is complete.

Tyre Order Matters

Always follow the relearn order exactly: left front, right front, right rear, left rear.

Common Holden Models

This guide is especially useful for Holden Caprice WM, but many Holden vehicles use similar tyre pressure monitor reset and relearn steps depending on the dashboard and menu system.

Procedure

How to Reset Holden Caprice Low Tyre Pressure Sensor Light (WM)

Estimated time: approximately 7 minutes.

  1. Stop the vehicle in a safe place, switch the engine off, and engage the parking brake.
  2. Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine.
  3. Press and hold the unlock and lock buttons on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter until the horn sounds.
  4. Increase or decrease tyre pressure for around 10 seconds, starting at the left front tyre, until the horn sounds.
  5. Move to the right front tyre and repeat the same process until the horn sounds.
  6. Repeat the same process for the right rear tyre.
  7. Repeat the same process for the left rear tyre.
  8. After the confirmation horn chirp for the left rear tyre, turn the ignition OFF.
  9. Adjust all tyres back to the pressure shown on the tyre placard.
Important: The relearn sequence relies on the correct tyre order and a horn confirmation at each corner.

Extra Holden TPMS Information

The Holden Caprice (WM) procedure shown here is one of the common Holden TPMS reset methods. Many other Holden models follow a very similar process, although some vehicles may require you to use the steering wheel stalk or menu controls to access the TPMS settings and activate the learning mode.

Similar Holden Procedures

Many Holden models use a similar TPMS relearn sequence, even if the exact dashboard prompts differ.

Menu / Stalk Access

On some models, you may need to use the steering wheel stalk or vehicle menu controls to enter the TPMS menu and start the learning mode.

Follow the Tyre Order

Always start with the left front tyre, then right front, right rear, and finally left rear unless the vehicle display instructs otherwise.

Return Pressures to Placard

Once relearn is complete, always adjust all tyres back to the pressure listed on the tyre placard.
