LDV / MAXUS TPMS Guide

LDV / MAXUS TPMS Programming Guide

If you are replacing tyre pressure sensors on an LDV or MAXUS vehicle, it is important to know that these vehicles do not learn the new sensors by themselves. The replacement sensors must be programmed into the vehicle using a suitable diagnostic programming tool.

Does Not Learn Automatically

LDV / MAXUS vehicles on this page do not automatically learn new TPMS sensors after fitting.

Programming Required

The new sensors must be programmed into the vehicle correctly for the warning light to turn off.

Required Tool

This can only be done properly using our Bluetooth OBD Reader / Writer Programming Tool, which is a very good diagnostic tool for programming TPMS sensors into the vehicle.

Required Tool

Bluetooth OBD Reader / Writer Programming Tool

These LDV / MAXUS vehicles require the new TPMS sensors to be programmed into the vehicle. This can only be done properly using our dedicated programming tool.

  1. Install the correct replacement TPMS sensors into the wheels.
  2. Use our Bluetooth OBD Reader / Writer Programming Tool.
  3. Program the new sensors to the correct protocol.
  4. Write the new sensor information into the vehicle through the OBD function.
  5. Confirm the vehicle has accepted the new sensors.
  6. Drive the vehicle and check that the TPMS warning light has turned off.
Important: Simply fitting the sensors is not enough. These vehicles do not learn the new sensors automatically.
Why Customers Need This Tool

No Self Learning on LDV / MAXUS

If you replace the sensors without programming them into the car, the warning light may stay on and the system may not recognise the new sensors at all.

  1. These vehicles do not self learn new sensors.
  2. The sensor IDs must be written into the car correctly.
  3. This is why the OBD programming tool is required.
  4. It is a very good diagnostic tool for TPMS work on these vehicles.
  5. It helps program the sensors properly into the vehicle ECU.
