Common Porsche Relearn Type

Most supported Porsche applications listed here commonly use Drive Relearn after the correct sensors are fitted.

Before You Start

Always set all tyres to the correct placard pressure and make sure the correct TPMS sensors are installed before starting the relearn procedure.

Special Variants

Certain Porsche models such as 911 GT3 may need additional attention because coverage can show a mixed relearn path such as Drive / OBD.

Procedure 01

Drive Relearn Procedure

This is the main relearn type commonly associated with many Porsche applications in current coverage charts.

  1. Inflate all tyres to the correct pressure shown on the tyre placard.
  2. Fit the correct compatible Porsche TPMS sensors.
  3. Turn the ignition ON and clear any menu prompts if required.
  4. Leave the vehicle stationary briefly after sensor installation if needed.
  5. Drive the vehicle at normal road speed, typically above 32 km/h.
  6. Continue driving until the new sensor IDs are learned and the TPMS warning clears.
Common supported models: 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman, 911, 911 Carrera, 911 Targa, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Taycan, Boxster and Cayman.

Special Porsche Variants — Check Before Supply

Some Porsche applications can vary by generation or performance variant, so it is worth checking the exact sensor path before supplying parts.

  1. Confirm the exact model and build year.
  2. Check the OE sensor type and frequency if available.
  3. Verify whether the vehicle follows pure drive relearn or a mixed Drive / OBD path.
  4. Install the correct sensor only after compatibility is confirmed.
  5. Complete the required road test and menu setup if applicable.
Use for: 911 GT3 and any vehicle where the exact Porsche variant or production split needs to be confirmed first.
