Communication issues and temporary TPMS warning lights can sometimes happen during service, but they can usually be resolved with the correct checks and relearn procedure.
Follow these steps when fitting replacement TPMS sensors to Geely Auto vehicles.
Check the following if the scan tool does not communicate properly or the warning light remains on.
The vehicle may arrive at your workshop with the OBDII fuse blown. If your scan tool shows a communication error while writing sensor IDs, verify that this fuse is not blown.
During some types of service, the TPMS sensors may temporarily shut off, resulting in a MIL / TPMS warning light when the vehicle is started afterwards.
In many cases, the MIL will switch off again during normal driving conditions once the sensors wake up and resume communication.
You can also perform an ID relearn using a properly formatted scan tool to turn the MIL off before the vehicle leaves the workshop.
