Accessibility target—not a certification

We aim to make the store easier to use. This statement does not claim that the whole website has passed a WCAG assessment. Please tell us when a page or task creates a barrier.

Section 01

Our Commitment to Accessible Online Shopping

MyTPMS Australia aims to make it easier for customers with disability to find product information, ask for fitment advice, place orders and obtain after-sales support. This statement explains our accessibility goals, the areas that may cause difficulty, and how to ask for help.

MyTPMS Australia is the registered business name associated with The Trustee for Automate TPMS Australia Trust, ABN 53 807 701 500. Our workshop and dispatch contact address is Unit 5–6, 44–50 Westall Road, Springvale VIC 3171, Australia. Business registration details can be checked through ABN Lookup.

We want customers to be able to use our online store independently. Our commitment includes listening to reports about access barriers and considering practical changes to the website and the way we provide information. A written commitment alone does not establish that every page, tool or checkout step is accessible.

Need help now? Email [email protected], call 1300 818 030 during customer support hours, or use our Contact Us page. Tell us what you are trying to do and the communication method that works for you. Phone or email assistance is an additional option, not a substitute for addressing website barriers.

Section 02

Scope of This Accessibility Statement

This statement relates to the customer-facing content and online shopping functions operated by MyTPMS Australia at mytpms.com.au. These include the following areas, where available:

  • Home page and navigation: Menus, search, promotional content and links to products and support.
  • Shop, categories and products: TPMS sensors, programming tools, DIY kits, product descriptions, prices and purchasing options.
  • Technical information: Vehicle compatibility tables, comparison tools, specifications and relearn instructions.
  • Videos and downloads: Embedded instructional videos, product manuals, technical documents and software download information.
  • Cart, checkout and account: Customer details, shipping choices, order review, payment and account access.
  • Customer and trade enquiries: Contact forms, wholesale registration and other enquiry forms published on the site.
  • Business and policy information: About Us, Contact Us, shipping, returns, warranty, privacy and related policies.

Our use of a third-party tool within the store remains relevant to the accessibility of the overall customer journey. Section 15 explains how to report difficulties with payment components, messaging widgets, embedded maps or other integrations.

External platforms and companion applications have their own interfaces and accessibility arrangements. This statement does not certify those services. Please still contact us when an external step linked from our website prevents you from obtaining information or completing an order.

Section 03

Applicable Standards, Guidelines & Legal Framework

Our stated technical target is Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. A target describes the requirements we aim to work towards; it is not a certificate or a declaration that those requirements have all been achieved.

Understanding the technical standard

WCAG is published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). It describes testable requirements for web content and groups them under four principles: perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. The requirements cover matters such as text alternatives, keyboard use, contrast, labels and the way controls communicate with assistive technology.

Read WCAG 2.1. W3C also publishes WCAG 2.2 and recommends using its newer guidance when updating accessibility policies and developing websites. Mentioning that guidance here does not mean we have assessed or achieved conformance with WCAG 2.2.

Australian accessibility obligations

The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 applies to discrimination in the provision of goods and services, including digital access. The Australian Human Rights Commission publishes guidelines on equal access to digital goods and services to help organisations understand these responsibilities.

Technical guidance and a website statement do not replace applicable legal obligations. The Commission explains that its guidelines are not legally binding and that relying on them does not, by itself, protect an organisation from a finding of unlawful discrimination.

Section 04

Accessibility Target & Conformance Status

We do not make a site-wide WCAG conformance claim in this statement. It describes an accessibility target and customer support options. It does not certify full or partial conformance, assign a percentage score, or verify every browser and assistive-technology combination.

A meaningful assessment needs an identified set of pages and complete user journeys, the applicable WCAG criteria, and documented testing. A clean automated scan or a revised policy page is not a substitute for that assessment. See W3C guidance on evaluating accessibility.

Areas to assess

Static content and policy pages

Headings, reading order, readable links and access without scripting.

Product listings and detail pages

Product selection, prices, specifications and purchase controls.

Keyboard navigation and focus

Menus, dialogs, filters and the route through interactive controls.

Cart and checkout

Labels, errors, order review and hosted payment steps.

Images and technical diagrams

Useful descriptions for essential visual information.

Video content

Caption accuracy and suitable written explanations.

Third-party tools

Whether embedded services prevent completion of a customer task.

The four accessibility principles

Perceivable
Information

People can obtain information in a form they can perceive.

Operable
Controls

People can reach and use functions with their preferred input method.

Understandable
Clarity

Instructions, labels and errors explain what to do.

Robust
Compatibility

Content communicates its structure and controls to assistive technology.

Access may differ between pages, plugins and devices. Please report the particular page or step causing a problem to [email protected]; you do not need to identify a WCAG criterion to request help.

Section 05

Page Features & Website-Wide Review Areas

Structure and reading order

The statement uses a single page title, numbered section headings and descriptive subheadings. Its content is present in the HTML without waiting for a scroll animation or a script to reveal it. The links near the top provide shortcuts to the accessibility status, limitations and feedback sections.

Icons, links and focus

Decorative icons are excluded from the accessibility tree and do not replace the visible words. Links remain identifiable without relying only on colour, and this page’s styling includes a visible keyboard focus outline.

What still needs a broader check

Site-wide form labels, announcements of search results, menu behaviour, cart updates and payment components need their own functional testing. The features on this statement page do not establish that those other functions work for every customer.

Section 06

Keyboard Navigation & Focus Management

Our accessibility goal is for customers to reach and use the store’s functions without a mouse. Keyboard access involves more than being able to open a page: menus, filters, dialogs, forms and payment steps must also allow a person to continue or leave a task.

Using the keyboard

  • Moving between controls: Tab normally moves forward through links and controls; Shift+Tab moves backwards. A visible focus indicator should show which control is selected.
  • Activating links and buttons: Enter normally follows a link. Standard buttons can usually be activated with Enter or Space. Space does not normally follow a regular link.
  • Menus and dialogs: Custom menus and popups can have different keyboard behaviour. Report a control that cannot be opened or closed, or a dialog that traps or loses focus.
  • Form choices: Arrow keys commonly operate standard select options and radio groups. Custom components may need additional review.
  • This statement: A skip link and section shortcuts are provided within this page. This does not confirm the presence or behaviour of a site-wide skip-navigation link.

When reporting a keyboard problem, describe the last control you could reach and the next action you wanted to perform. Email [email protected] or use another contact method that works for you.

Section 07

Screen Readers & Assistive Technology

Customers use many combinations of screen readers, magnification, voice input, switch access, browsers and devices. The examples below help you describe your setup when reporting a problem. They are not a list of configurations certified or confirmed as tested by MyTPMS Australia.

Windows screen readers

For example, NVDA or JAWS. Include the browser and version in a report.

Apple screen readers

For example, VoiceOver on a Mac, iPhone or iPad.

Android accessibility

For example, TalkBack or another input or reading aid.

Voice and switch input

Tell us whether a visible control cannot be named, reached or activated.

Magnification and zoom

Tell us which text, control or section becomes difficult to use.

Other assistive technology

You are welcome to report a barrier using a tool not listed here.

What information helps

The page address, the action you attempted, and what your software announced can help locate the problem. Device, browser and assistive-technology versions are useful where you know them, but you do not need to supply technical information you are unable to find.

We do not require you to purchase different software or stop using your preferred accessibility tools before asking for help. Please contact us through a channel you can use so we can discuss the task and a suitable way to provide the information.

Section 08

Visual Design, Colour Contrast & Readability

Our aim is to make product and support information readable without requiring a particular display size or relying on colour alone. This page keeps its blue-and-white design while using text labels, readable content blocks and visible links.

Design considerations

On small screens, scroll this table sideways to read all columns.

Visual access considerations for this statement and the wider store
AreaThis statement pageWhat to report elsewhere
Text and backgroundDark text and blue links on light cards.Text that is hard to distinguish from its background.
Information conveyed by colourLabels explain the meaning of cards and notices.A status, error or selection shown only by colour.
Text sizeRelative font sizes and wrapping text.Text that is clipped, overlaps, or cannot be enlarged.
MotionReduced-motion preferences disable decorative transitions.Moving content that cannot be paused or makes the page difficult to use.
FocusA visible outline when a link receives keyboard focus.A selected control that cannot be located on screen.
TablesCaptions, header cells and local scrolling where necessary.Information that disappears or cannot be read at a narrow width.

Zoom, text spacing and motion

You can use your browser’s zoom or text-size controls. This standalone statement does not set a maximum zoom level. Site themes and third-party components can behave differently, so please report any loss of content or functionality when you enlarge text or adjust its spacing.

The statement’s content is not hidden behind animations, and its reduced-motion rule is part of the CSS rather than dependent on JavaScript. These changes are limited to the statement; they do not alter animation settings elsewhere on the site.

No site-wide contrast score, text-resizing certification or all-device guarantee is made here. Those results need to be established through appropriate checks on the rendered website.

Section 09

Images, Icons, Diagrams & Non-Text Content

Product photos, valve illustrations, sensor labels and installation diagrams may contain information a customer needs to choose or use a product. Essential information should also be available in text; an image alone should not be the only way to obtain it.

Product images and labels

Some product images may have missing, incomplete or generic descriptions. Please send the product link and identify the image or detail you need explained so we can investigate and help.

Technical diagrams

A complex wiring, installation or compatibility diagram may require a written explanation beyond a short image description. You can request an explanation of the relevant steps, labels or part numbers. We will discuss the detail required and a suitable format rather than promise that every diagram already has a complete text alternative.

Decorative icons

The icons on this statement page are decorative and accompanied by visible wording. They are hidden from assistive technology to avoid repeated or unnecessary announcements. Their use here does not confirm how every icon on other pages has been labelled.

For a product-image description, email [email protected] with the product URL and the information you need. Response targets and format requests are explained in Section 21.

Section 10

Product Information, Technical Specs & Vehicle Compatibility

We aim to explain product specifications and vehicle compatibility in text that customers can read or ask our team to explain. Sensor photographs, charts and tool screens should support that information rather than be the sole source of essential details.

Tables and technical details

  • Table structure: A clear caption and properly associated headers help customers understand the relationship between model, year, part number and other details. Tables elsewhere on the store need to be checked individually.
  • Specifications: Ask for the sensor frequency, programming method, tool requirements or another specification in a format you can use.
  • Search and filters: Tell us when a search control, filter or updated result cannot be reached or understood. We do not claim that every dynamic result is correctly announced by every screen reader.
  • Fitment assistance: Provide the vehicle details available to you. Build date, market specification, the existing part number or sensor information may be needed before a recommendation can be made.

Assistance with reading a compatibility table is not an unconditional fitment guarantee. We will identify any information still needed for the particular product or vehicle rather than assume the result from a broad make-and-model description.

Section 11

Forms, Registration, Cart & Checkout Accessibility

Our goal is for customers to complete an order independently, including selecting a product, entering an address, reviewing charges and completing payment. A barrier in a third-party payment field can affect that whole journey even when the rest of the page is usable.

Forms and error recovery

Labels, instructions and error messages should make it clear what information is required and how to correct a problem. Please report an unlabelled field, an error that is not announced, or a control that cannot be reached. This statement does not confirm that every form or payment-provider component has been tested.

Help with an order

When the website prevents you from continuing, contact us with the product and the step where the problem occurred. We can discuss order assistance and the secure payment options available for that order, such as a payment link or invoice where supported.

Keep payment details secure. Do not send a full card number, security code, account password or one-time authentication code by ordinary email, a contact form or chat. We will explain an appropriate payment process separately.

Accessibility assistance does not automatically change shipping charges, return eligibility or other product terms. We will explain the applicable information before an order is placed. Nothing in this statement limits your statutory rights or requires you to use a channel that is inaccessible to you.

Section 12

Video Tutorials, Multimedia Content & Captions

Instructional videos may appear in our How-To Video Library, product pages and relearn guides. Our YouTube channel is another way to access published videos.

Caption availability and accuracy

Caption availability varies between videos. Automatically generated captions, where available, can misidentify vehicle names, technical terms and sensor IDs. We do not claim that every video has accurate captions or that a video platform’s general accessibility features establish conformance for our embedded content.

Written explanations

Where a written guide accompanies a video, it can provide another way to follow the procedure. A written alternative may not yet be available for every recording. Contact us with the video link and the part of the procedure you need explained, including any relevant vehicle or tool details.

For standard requests, our target is to provide a suitable written explanation or alternative format within two business days. More complex material may require additional time; we will discuss a realistic timeframe with you. This is a service target, not a guarantee that every video can immediately be transcribed or fully described.

Player controls

Report a video that starts unexpectedly, cannot be paused, or has controls you cannot use. The embedded player may be provided by a third party, but please let us know when it creates a barrier to product information.

Section 13

Mobile Responsiveness & Touch Accessibility

This statement’s cards and text are designed to wrap at narrow widths, with local scrolling for a wide table where needed. The wider store’s navigation, product controls, checkout and third-party components require their own checks on mobile devices.

Touch, orientation and zoom

  • Touch controls: Important actions should have sufficient size and spacing. Please report buttons or links that are difficult to activate without selecting a neighbouring control.
  • Orientation: Tell us when a page or task stops working in portrait or landscape view, including when you use a fixed device mount.
  • Enlarged content: The standalone statement does not disable pinch-to-zoom. Report any screen on the live website where enlargement is blocked or essential content becomes inaccessible.
  • Wide information: Compatibility tables may need their own scrolling region. Contact us when a table cannot be read or navigated in your setup.

The usability of a control depends on its size, spacing, labels and behaviour in the complete page. A responsive layout alone does not prove that every task is accessible on every device.

Section 14

Documents, Operating Manuals & Downloadable Files

Product manuals and technical files may be available through the AUTOMATE TPMS Master Kit manual and Downloads page. The accessibility of a webpage and that of a downloaded file are separate matters.

Manuals and technical documents

Some older documents may not have a suitable reading order, selectable text or useful descriptions of diagrams. We do not certify every file as an accessible, tagged PDF. Please report the particular file and the information you need to obtain from it.

Alternative formats

You can request plain text, larger text, a structured document or a written explanation of relevant material. We will discuss a suitable format and confirm what can be provided. Standard requests have a two-business-day response target; complex tables, diagrams or lengthy documents may need additional time.

Software and firmware

A clearly labelled download link does not establish the accessibility of the downloaded software itself. Companion applications and third-party software require separate assessment. Contact us before purchasing when a particular tool or app accessibility feature is essential to your use of the product.

Section 15

Third-Party Integrations, Plugins & Widgets

The store uses WordPress and WooCommerce, and some customer tasks involve additional plugins or external services. Accessibility can be affected by how these parts are configured and combined. A provider’s general statement is not evidence that our complete customer journey has been assessed.

Store and payment components

Report problems with the cart, account screens, shipping selection or payment step to us, including the page and action involved. We will consider the issue and discuss available assistance. We do not claim that all payment providers or WooCommerce components are certified to a particular WCAG level.

Chat and messaging

Any live chat or messaging option shown on the current website is an additional contact method. Its availability and accessibility may vary. You are not required to use WhatsApp or a chat widget to report an accessibility problem; email and telephone details are provided in this statement.

Maps and location information

When an embedded map is difficult to use, our workshop and dispatch address is also available as text: Unit 5–6, 44–50 Westall Road, Springvale VIC 3171, Australia. Contact us to discuss location information or access requirements before visiting; this statement is not an assessment of physical access to the premises.

Videos and external links

Embedded players and linked platforms can have different controls and accessibility limitations. Let us know when they prevent you from obtaining essential information. We do not treat the presence of a phone number or an email address as proof that a reported website barrier is resolved.

Section 16

Accessibility Limitations & Areas to Check

The following areas may present accessibility barriers and are useful places to check when reporting access difficulties. The table describes potential limitations and ways to request assistance, rather than the results of a current page-by-page audit.

On small screens, scroll this table sideways to read all columns.

Potential barriers and available ways to request help
AreaPossible barrierHow to request help
Product imagesSome descriptions may be absent, incomplete or too generic.Ask for the relevant product detail in text.
Instructional videosCaptions may be missing or inaccurate for technical language.Request a written explanation of the relevant procedure.
Chat and messagingFocus or message navigation may be difficult.Use another contact method that works for you.
Payment fieldsHosted fields may behave differently with assistive technology.Report the payment step, without disclosing card details.
Filters and menusThe state of a control or changed result may be unclear.Tell us which selection you could not make or understand.
Older documentsReading order, selectable text or diagram descriptions may be inadequate.Request the document content in a suitable format.
Comparison and compatibility tablesHeader relationships or navigation may be unclear.Ask for the relevant product or vehicle comparison in text.

A limitation may depend on a particular page, version or device. A missing entry does not mean an area has passed an audit, and an entry is not confirmation that every page has that problem. Please send the affected URL and a description so we can investigate the specific case.

We aim to prioritise barriers that prevent essential tasks such as understanding a product, placing an order or accessing after-sales support. Assistance offered while investigating does not, by itself, demonstrate that the underlying barrier has been repaired.

Section 17

Alternative Access & Personalised Assistance

Customers can ask our team for help with product information or a website task. Tell us your preferred format or communication method; we do not assume that either telephone or email is accessible for everyone.

Assistance you can request

  • Fitment information: Help reading a compatibility listing and identifying the vehicle details needed for a recommendation.
  • Product details: A text explanation of a price, specification, image, warranty term or installation requirement.
  • Order assistance: Help discussing products, confirming order details and the available secure payment process.
  • Documents: A suitable alternative format or explanation of a particular manual, diagram or relearn guide.
  • Tracking: Assistance locating order or delivery information after appropriate order verification.
  • Returns and warranty: Help understanding the applicable policy and starting an enquiry without relying solely on an online form.

Returns assistance is not a promise of free collection or a change to return-postage responsibility. The applicable Returns & Refund Policy and statutory rights remain relevant. We will discuss any practical arrangements for the particular request.

Section 18

Review Approach & Improvement Priorities

Accessibility evaluation should cover real customer tasks, not only a policy page. Our intended improvement approach is set out below. It is a description of priorities, not a record that these reviews have already been completed or an independent auditor has been appointed.

Review methods

Useful review methods include automated checks, keyboard-only navigation, screen-reader testing, mobile interaction and enlarged-text checks. Testing should record the browser, assistive technology and versions actually used. Customer feedback is valuable alongside these methods.

W3C explains that no tool alone can determine whether a website meets accessibility standards; knowledgeable human evaluation is needed. See Evaluating Web Accessibility.

Improvement priorities

Scope the review

Identify pages and complete tasks

Include navigation, finding a product, reading specifications, checkout and customer support.

Check in more than one way

Combine automated and manual work

Use automated checks alongside keyboard, screen-reader, visual and mobile task testing.

Document findings

Record evidence and priorities

Record the URL, software environment, steps to reproduce the problem and the affected task.

Address and retest

Verify a change in context

Recheck the affected flow, including third-party steps, rather than relying only on a scan score.

Update the statement

Publish substantiated information

Add dated results, assessment scope and verified improvements when they are available.

We are not publishing estimated completion percentages, quarter-by-quarter delivery promises or a certification date here. A confirmed fix should be distinguished from work proposed, being investigated or dependent on a third party.

Section 19

Australian Rights & Regulatory Guidance

Australian disability-discrimination law is relevant to access to goods and services, including online shopping. Technical improvements should support meaningful access to the whole task, rather than simply add an accessibility badge to a page.

Guidance and legal responsibility

The Australian Human Rights Commission’s digital accessibility guidelines explain how digital goods and services relate to the Disability Discrimination Act 1992. The guidelines do not replace the Act or applicable state and territory laws. Meeting a technical target alone is not a blanket guarantee of legal compliance.

Government digital service standards have their own scope. This private store does not claim government certification, and a requirement applying to a government website should not automatically be represented as the legal test for every commercial website.

Feedback and personal information

Provide only the information needed to explain the barrier and contact you. A URL, the task and your preferred response method are usually more useful than medical details. Please remove personal or payment information from screenshots. Our Privacy Policy explains our stated arrangements for handling personal information.

External advice

You may seek independent advice or contact an appropriate complaints body. Our internal assistance process does not remove those options. Section 22 provides the Commission’s complaint information.

Section 20

International Customers & Accessibility

Customers outside Australia are welcome to report website barriers and request product information in a format they can use. Email [email protected] and include any timezone or communication requirements relevant to your enquiry.

Accessibility laws, the organisations covered and complaint processes differ between countries and regions. This statement does not claim that one WCAG target satisfies every international law, or that public-sector requirements automatically apply to this Australian retail website.

Technical target
WCAG 2.1 Level AA is our stated goal, not global legal certification.
Customer rights
Nothing here removes rights that apply under the relevant law.
Assistance
Contact us to discuss the barrier and a usable information format.
Orders and delivery
Destination availability, charges and estimates belong in the Shipping Policy and checkout.

For general context, W3C maintains a directory of web accessibility laws and policies. Its entries are a starting point for finding relevant guidance, not advice that a particular law does or does not apply to a specific transaction.

This statement does not make a worldwide delivery promise or set a separate international return policy. Refer to the relevant product, shipping and returns information when placing an order.

Section 21

Accessibility Feedback, Barrier Reports & Requests

Please tell us about a page or function you cannot use. You do not need to diagnose the technical cause or provide a disability diagnosis. A description in your own words is welcome.

How to contact us

  • Email: [email protected]. A useful subject line is “Accessibility assistance” or “Accessibility barrier”.
  • Telephone: 1300 818 030 for Australian enquiries during customer support hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 Melbourne local time.
  • Online: Use our Contact Us page when it is accessible to you. The form is not mandatory.

Include the page URL, what you were trying to do, what prevented you from continuing and how you prefer us to respond. Browser, device or assistive-technology details help where available. Do not send passwords, payment credentials or unnecessary medical information.

Response targets

Acknowledgement
We aim to acknowledge a report within 1 business day.
Initial assessment
We aim to assess the reported barrier within 3 business days.
Interim assistance
We aim to offer practical assistance within 1 business day where possible.
Progress update
For unresolved issues, we aim to provide an update within 10 business days.

These are service targets, not guaranteed technical-resolution deadlines. The time needed for a fix can depend on the problem and any third-party component. We will discuss the expected next step and any delay; these targets do not limit your legal rights.

Alternative format requests

Identify the document, product or video and your preferred format. Our target for a standard format request is two business days. For complex or lengthy material, we will confirm what can be provided and discuss the timeframe instead of guaranteeing an immediate conversion.

Section 22

Complaints & External Escalation

Contact us when you are dissatisfied with the response to an accessibility issue. You may also seek external advice or use an available complaint process without obtaining our permission or first completing our internal process.

Raising a complaint with MyTPMS Australia

Email [email protected] with “Accessibility complaint” in the subject, or use another contact method available to you. Explain the barrier, its impact and the outcome you are seeking. We aim to acknowledge the complaint within one business day and provide a substantive response or an update within five business days.

Where a permanent fix needs more time, we will discuss an interim option and the next steps. The five-day target does not promise that every software or third-party problem can be resolved in that period. We will not penalise a customer for making a complaint.

Australian Human Rights Commission

The Commission provides information about discrimination complaints and helps resolve matters through its complaints process. Read its current complaint instructions for eligibility, assistance and submission requirements.

For information about whether the Commission can assist, contact its National Information Service on 1300 656 419 or [email protected]. The Commission currently requires complaints in writing; its website explains how to obtain and submit the form. There is no fee to make a complaint.

Other jurisdictions

Customers in another jurisdiction can seek advice from an appropriate local authority or legal adviser about the applicable process. We do not represent one overseas agency or public-sector complaint route as the correct forum for every customer or transaction.

Contacting us is welcome, but it is not a condition of seeking independent advice. Nothing in this statement restricts rights or remedies available under applicable law.

Section 23

Related Policies & Legal Documents

The pages below explain other parts of shopping with MyTPMS Australia. This Accessibility Statement concerns access and assistance; it does not create new shipping charges, delivery promises, return exclusions or warranty periods.

You can ask us to explain information on another policy page in a format you can use. Reading every linked document is not a condition of reporting an accessibility barrier or obtaining assistance.
